Ben-Hur

Ben-Hur

Unfolding the Ben Hur zeal for the fifth time.

Paramount pictures have come with another epic work of art in the form of a novel adaptation of the called ‘Ben Hur’ 1880. The movie is the fifth adaptation of the vintage novel ‘Ben Hur’ published in 1880.

Ben Hur is based on a vintage novel ‘ben hur: a tale of Christ’, written by Lew Wallace, back in 1880. The movie is fifth consecutive adaptation of the famous novel. The novel and the movie is a famous American historical action drama and depict the miserable conditions and dark days of slavery of Roman Empire. Director Timur Bekmambetov has tried to add the movie with some more spice and announced that the movie, unlike its previous four adaptations, will be released worldwide and the movie is keenly prepared while keeping the commerce somewhere in mind. Jack Huston is playing the leading character in the movie, around which the story revolves. The script of the film is written by Kaith Clarke and John Ridley.

The story starts with a Jewish prince in Roman occupied Jerusalem, Judah Ben-Hur (Huston), who is betrayed by his beloved childhood friend and adoptive brother Messala (Tobby Kebbel). He was falsely implicated in a case of treason against the nation and forced to spend rest of his life as a slave of Romans. During his dark days of slavery, he faced many encounters with ‘Jesus Christ’, who emboldened him to be strong and tough. To take his revenge against his adoptive brother and to regain redemption, he challenges him for a chariot race and what happens next is the history. In dramas like Ben Hur challenges, there is always a need of mentor is there and here the pivotal part is beautifully played by Morgan Freeman. Sheik Iiderim (morgan) trains him for the chariot race, Sheik is the most veteran character of the story.

Rodrigo Santaro plays the role of ‘Jesus’, unlike original film, Jesus is a distinguished character in the motion picture. Paramount Pictures vice president, Rob Moore believes that this time they have taken far more care to prepare this character, may be because in the last part, the production house had to face a huge backfire from the public on the alleged misinterpretation of the Holy book ‘Bible’.

Esther (Nazanin Boniadi) is a Jewish slave and she is the love interest of Ben. The character of Esther is far more bold and independent. Nazanin is happy because the character has given a bit more expansion as compared to its previous versions. She is a strong-willed woman and gets more footage space this time.

The music of the movie is played under the guidance of famous music maestro Marco Beltrami. The movie is going to be released on august 19, this year.
