A British action thriller comedy, revolving around the tale of two conflicting groups dealing in arms who end up killing each other when a simple altercation blows out of proportion.
The movie, set on a spunky and resolute Boston setting is a perplexing thriller comedy narrating a gun dealing between two groups going spectacularly haywire. The movie is deeply introspective of the underlying ludicrousness of mankind when it comes to violence. In a clutter of disarray and commotion, everyone acts savage to ensure their own survival. The director does a commendable task in crafting a meticulous spoof about the insanity in a black market gun dealing. Free Fire Movie: Focus on News
“Ben Wheatley’s Free Fire is an action movie finely tuned to even the most potentially vicious audience’s tolerances”
The movie is ornate with verbally witty quips and the cinematography is taut keeping the itchiest audiences on the edge of their seat, agog over what is to ensue. Ben Wheatley’s commendable skills are validated again in Free Fire.
“Free Fire is a stronger concept than film, hamstrung by poor storytelling and execution, despite the best efforts of the cast”
Although some people dissent over the poor treatment of the concept, the work of the cast is a must watch. The underlying concept is strong and overshadows most of the execution. However, the script is a manifestation of a masterful parody and is handled justly by the cast and crew.
